Start at the Hope Centre Fire Station (junction of 105 and 235) and finish at the top of Hatchet Mountain about a mile or maybe two straight up. $5 entry fee ALL proceeds to the Coastal Mountains Land Trust (because it is their mountain). No shirts, no water stations, no adoring crowds just a great run if you are into that sort of thing. The route starts on a paved road (Rt. 235) and then becomes a rocky, uneven, steep, vegetated trail that zig zags up the side of Hatchet Mt. while giving you a beautiful view. We take no responsabiliy for twisted ankles or injuries, it is a trail run and should be treated as such as a result waivers will be required (just like most races).
The winner will get a free sandwich from the Hope General Store.
